About Dera Sant Pura Danna

Danna is a small village in Tehsil and Distt. Muzzfrabad (now in Pakistan. To carry out Guru Nanak Dev Ji mission in this remote area of the state, a Dera namely Sant Pura was established in this village about 250 years ago. Prominent Dera mukhies served the Dera from time to time are Sant Bhai Punjab Singh, Sant Bhai Tara Singh, Sant Bhai Kushal Singh, Sant Bhai Gurdit Singh, Sant Bhai : Gurbakesh Singh and Sant Bhai Tejwant Singh. Sant Gurbaksh Singh Danna During partition, Dera mukhi Sant Gurbakash Singh Ji migrated to Jammu, settled at Domana area (Bagh Marh) and started serving people for their rehabilitation and other social works on the same lines as were done at Dera Sant Pura Danna. A Gurdwara building was got constructed at Nanak Nagar Jammu with Langer hall and a Dispensary. Dera Sant Pura Danna Charitable trust formed and managed through a Board of Trustees having its well educated competent and social dignities of high repute with Sant Tejwant Singh as its Managing Trustee. Responsibility of Dera mukhi fell on the shoulders of Sant Tejwant Singh after Sant Gurbakash Singh attained heavenly abode in 2012.

Board of Trustees with Sant Tejwant Singh as its Managing Trustee have decided to start Educational Institution at Domana with CBSE pattern dedicated to Sant Gurbakash Singh Danna under the name "SGSD International School" as per his wishes and according to the vision of the trust.

Managed by highly qualified management Committee with skilled and well qualified staff. School will start functioning from March 2017 and will provide quality education through modern techniques to spread knowledge and spiritual growth to the boys and girls of Jammu.
